Museums

Whidbey and Camano Islands have a long history and there are three museums detailing that history.

    Island County Historical Museum

    The Island county museum has displays on Native American life, early settlers, as well as more "modern" early 20th century life when Whidbey Island was a step or two behind the mainland.

    Langley Whale Center

    The Langley Whale Center is where you can learn all about the orca, grey whales, minke, humpback whales and other creatures that are in Puget Sound.

    Pacific Northwest Naval Air Museum

    The PBY Naval Air Museum is a great way to see many of the artifacts and memorabilia related to Whidbey Island's Military History. The museum even has a restored PBY Catalina on display across Pioneer Way from the museum.

    Pacific Northwest Naval Air Museum Ship’s Store

    The Pacific Northwest Naval Air Museum Ship’s Store offers books, t-shirts, caps and other memorabilia about Naval Air Station Whidbey Island and the plane that was among the first to fly here, the PBY Catalina.  Shop the store when you visit or shop the online store here…
