April is Earth and Ocean Month
There are events all month long as Whidbey Island take Earth Day and turns it into a month of action and awareness.
The theme of 2019 is “Teaming for Climate Action Today!” Activities include all-day festivals, lectures, art shows, work parties, field trips, and more. Participating organizations include Goosefoot, the Greening Congregations Collaborative, Island Transit, Orca Network, Pacific Rim Institute, Sno-Isle Libraries, South Whidbey Tilth, Whidbey Institute, Whidbey Watershed Stewards, and more.

The Great Northwest Glass Quest lets you search Camano Island and the town of Stanwood for the hidden clue balls and exchange them for beautiful glass balls that will add light and color to your home for years. From parks to stores, the clue balls are all over the island. It's a great chance to explore Camano Island, see it's rich beauty and meet the many merchants on the island. Each clue ball has instructions inside that explain how to redeem the prize.Find out more »
The trail run goes through spectacular scenery. The Fort Ebey Kettles Trail Run is a 5k, 10k, Half Marathon and Marathon trail race in Fort Ebey State Park, a scenic destination in the middle of Whidbey Island. Langley Mystery Weekend features a whole town as the scene for a mystery for amateurs to solve! And this is the 35th year for this unique springtime fun! A new creative mystery unfolds each year and visitors search for clues inside stores, and question suspects on the streets of Langley. Around that sleuthing, visitors also sneak in a little shopping and a little sightseeing in "The Village by the Sea."Find out more »
