Fall is the perfect season to forage a variety of gourmet and medicinal mushrooms\, making it an ideal time for discovery and adventure. \n\n\n\nPublic Group Tours \n\n\n\nMeet at South Whidbey Tilth Farmers Market . You can choose from two time slots: a morning session from 9:00am to 12:00pm or an afternoon session from 1:00pm to 4:00pm. I will hand out informational booklets to everybody that are yours to keep to help support and continue your learning. Then we will dive straight into a 30-45 minute information packed and illustrated presentation about mushrooms and foraging for mushrooms. Many mushrooms will be on display and labeled for your viewing and learning pleasure. After the discussion we will then drive in our own vehicles to our tour location not far away where I have previously scouted out to be sure the area is fruitful for us. From there we will venture into the forest to see what we can find and of course we will be chit chatting about everything mushrooms along the way and whatever else we all feel like talking about. Dogs are not allowed on public tours. If you’re coming from Seattle you’ll want to take the Mukilteo Ferry.Public Group Tour (10 seats available per tour):  $75 per person \n\n\n\nPrivate Tours \n\n\n\nare offered on Sunday’s and weekdays during my public group tour season and 7 days a week outside of the season (as long as mushrooms are present which in the Pacific Northwest is nearly year round). You have your choice between a morning 9:00am to 12:00pm or an afternoon 1:00pm to 4:00pm For private tours we do not meet at South Whidbey Tilth Farmers Market but instead will meet at a tour destination that I have previously scouted out to be sure the area is fruitful for us. The trail starts near the historic Sunnyside Cemetery above Ebey’s Prairie.We’ll meet in the parking area near the visitors center. The hike starts at 8:00 a.m. and will last about 2.5 hours. The walking is fairly easy but there are exposed tree roots in the trail. A bonus is a chance at wildflowers and butterflies. DESCRIPTION:Sail Back in Time on the Schooner SUVA | June – October 17\, 2026\n\n\n\nJoin us for a Whidbey Island sailing experience on Penn Cove!Sit back as the sails are hoisted\, the engine turned off\, and we cruise across the water while enjoying the scenic views of Penn Cove\, Mount Baker and the Cascade Range. This is a gentle sailing experience perfect for the whole family. We sail where the wind is the best\, perhaps past Snakelum Point where the Lower Skagit Tribes lived to the east\, or the Penn Cove mussel farms to the west. \n\n\n\nWe depart the picturesque Coupeville wharf every Friday\, Saturday and Sunday on our historic 1925 wooden pilot house schooner. \n\n\n\n2026 Sailing Schedule (June – October 17\, 2026)\n\n\n\nFridays:  About 5:30 p.m.\, varies depending on sunsetSaturdays: 1:00 – 3:00 p.m.Sundays: 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. \n\n\n\nAll scheduled sailings are approximately 2 hours\, and depart from the Coupeville Wharf at 24 Front St NW.  Please arrive at the boat 15 minutes prior to departure. \n\n\n\nTickets \n\n\n\n(Prior purchase speeds Suva’s departure process) Adult (per person): $75Youth (3-12): $50Child (0-2): $0.10.
