DESCRIPTION:Sail Back in Time on the Schooner SUVA | June – October 17\, 2026\n\n\n\nJoin us for a Whidbey Island sailing experience on Penn Cove!Sit back as the sails are hoisted\, the engine turned off\, and we cruise across the water while enjoying the scenic views of Penn Cove\, Mount Baker and the Cascade Range. This is a gentle sailing experience perfect for the whole family. We sail where the wind is the best\, perhaps past Snakelum Point where the Lower Skagit Tribes lived to the east\, or the Penn Cove mussel farms to the west. \n\n\n\nWe depart the picturesque Coupeville wharf every Friday\, Saturday and Sunday on our historic 1925 wooden pilot house schooner. \n\n\n\n2026 Sailing Schedule (June – October 17\, 2026)\n\n\n\nFridays:  About 5:30 p.m.\, varies depending on sunsetSaturdays: 1:00 – 3:00 p.m.Sundays: 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. \n\n\n\nAll scheduled sailings are approximately 2 hours\, and depart from the Coupeville Wharf at 24 Front St NW.  Please arrive at the boat 15 minutes prior to departure. \n\n\n\nTickets \n\n\n\n(Prior purchase speeds Suva’s departure process) Adult (per person): $75Youth (3-12): $50Child (0-2): $0.10. Tickets can be purchased at https://www.schoonersuva.org/tickets\, or at the boat prior to sailing. \n\n\n\nChildren Under 18 Years Old Must Be Accompanied by an Adult. \n\n\n\nIt is always a few degrees cooler when on the water. DESCRIPTION:Nighttime Bioluminescence Kayak Experience | Whidbey Island Kayaking\n\n\n\nJoin us for a truly memorable experience—a nighttime\, on-the-water kayak exploration of Puget Sound bioluminescence. As you paddle away from shore and venture farther out into the dark\, you’ll experience Mother Nature’s own light show of sparkles in the water beneath you with stars twinkling above. That’s right\, there’s sea life—both plant and animal—that emits its own light! It’s called bioluminescence. We’ll use our kayaks\, paddles and even hands to get you as close as possible with this incredible phenomena. We don’t go far because there’s so much to see close to shore in intertidal waters; more of a float than a paddle. For a more vigorous physical workout or if distance is your thing\, consider a daytime tour instead. But for a vibrant visual experience\, don’t miss our bioluminescence experience. We offer these only a few times during the summer when there’s a new moon and the skies are darkest for best viewing. \n\n\n\n\n2 Hours

Visitors can immerse themselves in the splendor of nature as they embark on a journey through lush woodlands teeming with life. Whether seeking quiet contemplation or an adventure in the great outdoors\, the forest walk offers an escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Every step is a discovery and every moment is a treasure trove of natural wonders. \n\n\n\nVolunteer docents will be leading 1.5 hour tours of Meerkerk at 1 p.m. Explore the hidden corners of Meerkerk and uncover something new about the forest. Meerkerk’s specialty nursery will also be open during this time. Meerkerk Gardens\, a 53-acre garden and woodland preserve\, is located at 3531 Meerkerk Lane in Greenbank (take the Resort Road exit off Highway 525). The nonprofit Gardens are open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. every day of the year\, except during extreme weather events. \n\n\n\nAdult admission is $15. This is a gentle sailing experience perfect for the whole family. We sail where the wind is the best\, perhaps past Snakelum Point where the Lower Skagit Tribes lived to the east\, or the Penn Cove mussel farms to the west. \n\n\n\nWe depart the picturesque Coupeville wharf every Friday\, Saturday and Sunday on our historic 1925 wooden pilot house schooner. \n\n\n\n2026 Sailing Schedule (June – October 17\, 2026)\n\n\n\nFridays:  About 5:30 p.m.\, varies depending on sunsetSaturdays: 1:00 – 3:00 p.m.Sundays: 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. \n\n\n\nAll scheduled sailings are approximately 2 hours\, and depart from the Coupeville Wharf at 24 Front St NW. As you paddle away from shore and venture farther out into the dark\, you’ll experience Mother Nature’s own light show of sparkles in the water beneath you with stars twinkling above. That’s right\, there’s sea life—both plant and animal—that emits its own light! It’s called bioluminescence. We’ll use our kayaks\, paddles and even hands to get you as close as possible with this incredible phenomena. We don’t go far because there’s so much to see close to shore in intertidal waters; more of a float than a paddle. For a more vigorous physical workout or if distance is your thing\, consider a daytime tour instead. But for a vibrant visual experience\, don’t miss our bioluminescence experience.  \n\n\n\nIt is timely that The Giddy Round should bring its King John to ISF this summer with Robin Hood of Sherwood Forest on its stage. Robin Hood’s Prince John went on to become king\, and Shakespeare dramatized his reign in his play.
