 \n\n\n\nIt is timely that The Giddy Round should bring its King John to ISF this summer with Robin Hood of Sherwood Forest on its stage. Robin Hood’s Prince John went on to become king\, and Shakespeare dramatized his reign in his play.

Grab dinner from Japonica\, the Taproom\, or picnic dinners are welcome. \n\n\n\nJune 10 – TC Ryder & the Groovetones play the grooviest\, dancing-est tunes from the 1970’s\, including a helping of JJ Cale\, Dobie Gray\, Stevie (Wonder and Ray Vaughn)\, Billy Preston\, and a bunch more. June 24 – The Wax Lips Band blends a fusion of classic rock\, punk rock\, blues\, psychedelic rock and more to put on a show that will be sure to get you moving and grooving! Expect a wide range of upbeat original music as well as covers of The Beatles\, Tom Petty\, Fleetwood Mac\, and other popular artists. Members of the band live all over Washington State\, but all are South Whidbey High School alumni: Brady Willis\, lead vocals & rhythm guitar; Asher Thorn\, lead guitar; Jeff Nelson\, drums; Jacob Breedan\, bass; and Isaac Ramos\, keyboard & vocals. July 8 – Rubatano Center Marimba Rubatano Marimba offers heart-warming and dance-inducing Zimbabwean style marimba. Tanya Boyd\, Audrey Neubauer\, Kerry Holland\, Dana Moffett\, Micah Petrich\, Lucas Earl\, Caden Davis\, Leslie Breeden\, Diana Chamrad\, Dyanne Harshman\, Warner Scheyer and Tillie Scruton will be joined by special guest musicians from Zimbabwe. July 22 – ROSSaCONN is an eclectic mix of danceable instrumental originals\, blending funk\, African\, reggae rock and life influences. Stephan Ross on bass\, Eric Nightsong Conn on guitar\, and Rachman Ross on drums keep it upbeat and fun. August 5 – Western Heroes have been providing original dance music to the Whidbey Island community for 16 years. From polka to punk\, their diverse collection of songs are played with one goal in mind: to get people up and moving. Michael and David Licastro provide vocals and guitar\, Lorraine Newland on bass and vocals\, David Maloney on drums\, and Larry Neubauer on keyboard and vocals. \n\n\n\nAugust 19 – PETE the BAND PETE is the quintessential Whidbey Island garage band\, performing rock & blues dance music and American groove music. The band is comprised of Fredde Butterworth on drums\, Dave Draper and David Licastro on guitar\, Marc Strader on bass\, and Danny Ward on sax. September 2 – Ike and the Old Man began as a father & son duo eight years ago that blossomed into a full band playing an eclectic mix of pop\, rock\, blues\, country\, and jazz. Groove to the beats of Isaac & Mark Wacker\, Kent Turner on drums\, and multi-instrumentalist Ray Shelly.

We sail where the wind is the best\, perhaps past Snakelum Point where the Lower Skagit Tribes lived to the east\, or the Penn Cove mussel farms to the west. \n\n\n\nWe depart the picturesque Coupeville wharf every Friday\, Saturday and Sunday on our historic 1925 wooden pilot house schooner. \n\n\n\n2026 Sailing Schedule (June – October 17\, 2026)\n\n\n\nFridays:  About 5:30 p.m.\, varies depending on sunsetSaturdays: 1:00 – 3:00 p.m.Sundays: 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. \n\n\n\nAll scheduled sailings are approximately 2 hours\, and depart from the Coupeville Wharf at 24 Front St NW. As you paddle away from shore and venture farther out into the dark\, you’ll experience Mother Nature’s own light show of sparkles in the water beneath you with stars twinkling above. That’s right\, there’s sea life—both plant and animal—that emits its own light! It’s called bioluminescence. We’ll use our kayaks\, paddles and even hands to get you as close as possible with this incredible phenomena. We don’t go far because there’s so much to see close to shore in intertidal waters; more of a float than a paddle. For a more vigorous physical workout or if distance is your thing\, consider a daytime tour instead. But for a vibrant visual experience\, don’t miss our bioluminescence experience. We offer these only a few times during the summer when there’s a new moon and the skies are darkest for best viewing. \n\n\n\n\n2 Hours

Strollers\, tiny sneakers\, and wobbly walkers are all welcome! Baby Steps participants have the option to purchase an event t-shirt for $10. \n\n\n\nYou are invited to bring the whole family to join the fun and dress up as your favorite rock star! We want to see it all: leather\, lace\, bandanas\, giggles\, smiles\, tutus\, crowns\, big hair\, glitter\, and cheers! We encourage strolling\, walking\, running\, skipping\, hopping\, and especially dancing your way across the finish line. \n\n\n\nOur day begins at Windjammer Park in Oak Harbor\, WA on Whidbey Island. The 5K course follows the sparkling waterfront out to Catalina Park at the Marina and back to Windjammer Park. \n\n\n\n\nFree parking is available at Windjammer Park.\n\n\n\nCheck in at the registration tables to pick up your race bib and t-shirt.\n\n\n\nAll pre-registered 5K participants will receive a free t-shirt.
