Fall is the perfect season to forage a variety of gourmet and medicinal mushrooms\, making it an ideal time for discovery and adventure. \n\n\n\nPublic Group Tours \n\n\n\nMeet at South Whidbey Tilth Farmers Market . You can choose from two time slots: a morning session from 9:00am to 12:00pm or an afternoon session from 1:00pm to 4:00pm. I will hand out informational booklets to everybody that are yours to keep to help support and continue your learning. Then we will dive straight into a 30-45 minute information packed and illustrated presentation about mushrooms and foraging for mushrooms. Many mushrooms will be on display and labeled for your viewing and learning pleasure. After the discussion we will then drive in our own vehicles to our tour location not far away where I have previously scouted out to be sure the area is fruitful for us. From there we will venture into the forest to see what we can find and of course we will be chit chatting about everything mushrooms along the way and whatever else we all feel like talking about. Dogs are not allowed on public tours. If you’re coming from Seattle you’ll want to take the Mukilteo Ferry.Public Group Tour (10 seats available per tour):  $75 per person \n\n\n\nPrivate Tours \n\n\n\nare offered on Sunday’s and weekdays during my public group tour season and 7 days a week outside of the season (as long as mushrooms are present which in the Pacific Northwest is nearly year round). Fall is the perfect season to forage a variety of gourmet and medicinal mushrooms\, making it an ideal time for discovery and adventure. \n\n\n\nPublic Group Tours \n\n\n\nMeet at South Whidbey Tilth Farmers Market . You can choose from two time slots: a morning session from 9:00am to 12:00pm or an afternoon session from 1:00pm to 4:00pm. I will hand out informational booklets to everybody that are yours to keep to help support and continue your learning. Then we will dive straight into a 30-45 minute information packed and illustrated presentation about mushrooms and foraging for mushrooms. Many mushrooms will be on display and labeled for your viewing and learning pleasure. After the discussion we will then drive in our own vehicles to our tour location not far away where I have previously scouted out to be sure the area is fruitful for us. From there we will venture into the forest to see what we can find and of course we will be chit chatting about everything mushrooms along the way and whatever else we all feel like talking about. Dogs are not allowed on public tours. If you’re coming from Seattle you’ll want to take the Mukilteo Ferry.Public Group Tour (10 seats available per tour):  $75 per person \n\n\n\nPrivate Tours \n\n\n\nare offered on Sunday’s and weekdays during my public group tour season and 7 days a week outside of the season (as long as mushrooms are present which in the Pacific Northwest is nearly year round). This free\, self-guided art and exploration event invites participants to search for handcrafted glass art while exploring participating local businesses and approved public spaces throughout the region. \n\n\n\nWhat began nearly two decades ago as a creative way to encourage winter exploration has grown into a signature regional event\, drawing visitors from across Washington and beyond. Each February\, Glass Quest transforms everyday places into destinations for curiosity\, connection\, and discovery. \n\n\n\nHow the Quest Works\n\n\n\nNorthwest Glass Quest is open to everyone and requires no registration to participate. During the ten-day event\, participants search for 3-inch plastic clue balls hidden throughout the community. \n\n\n\nClue balls may be lightly camouflaged but are always visible and discoverable using eyesight alone. Participants never need to move merchandise\, disturb landscaping or vegetation\, dig\, climb\, or search in unsafe or restricted areas. All hiding locations follow clear guidelines designed to protect public spaces\, businesses\, and accessibility for all participants. \n\n\n\nWhen a participant finds a plastic clue ball\, they are awarded a handcrafted glass ball\, making the clue ball the key to receiving the featured art piece. \n\n\n\nOptional clues may be shared during the event to guide exploration\, though clues are not guaranteed each day.
