DESCRIPTION:Whidbey Wild Mushroom Tours | Saturday’s thru December 19\, 2026\n\n\n\nStep into the pristine forests of beautiful Whidbey Island and uncover the fascinating fungi that thrive among us! Fall is the perfect season to forage a variety of gourmet and medicinal mushrooms\, making it an ideal time for discovery and adventure. \n\n\n\nPublic Group Tours \n\n\n\nMeet at South Whidbey Tilth Farmers Market . You can choose from two time slots: a morning session from 9:00am to 12:00pm or an afternoon session from 1:00pm to 4:00pm. I will hand out informational booklets to everybody that are yours to keep to help support and continue your learning. Then we will dive straight into a 30-45 minute information packed and illustrated presentation about mushrooms and foraging for mushrooms. Many mushrooms will be on display and labeled for your viewing and learning pleasure. After the discussion we will then drive in our own vehicles to our tour location not far away where I have previously scouted out to be sure the area is fruitful for us. From there we will venture into the forest to see what we can find and of course we will be chit chatting about everything mushrooms along the way and whatever else we all feel like talking about. Dogs are not allowed on public tours. If you’re coming from Seattle you’ll want to take the Mukilteo Ferry.Public Group Tour (10 seats available per tour):  $75 per person \n\n\n\nPrivate Tours \n\n\n\nare offered on Sunday’s and weekdays during my public group tour season and 7 days a week outside of the season (as long as mushrooms are present which in the Pacific Northwest is nearly year round). Each year since 1996 Whidbey Island Garden Tour (WIGT) hosts a one-day summer tour of enchanting private gardens on our beautiful island. The tour is attended by several hundred ticket-holders from all over the NW and beyond. Proceeds generated by ticket sales are granted to local causes promoting conservation and stewardship of our island habitat through environmental education\, restoration and beautification.  \n\n\n\nPLEASE REMEMBER TO PRINT YOUR TICKETS or save to your phone and bring them to the tour!  Addresses and map will be shared via email prior to the event. \n\n\n\nTickets: $35(Early Bird online tickets are available through June 1\, 2026 for $30.
