The first-ever Bluesberry Festival featuring Northwest artists, food vendors and beer/wine garden made possible by Roaming Radish (and, of course, blueberries!) will be held in the field at Mutiny Bay Blues blueberry farm just off SR 525 (at Cameron Rd.) in Freeland.
- • Enjoy the rock and soul sounds of LeRoy Bell who has shared the stage with greats such as Idina Menzel, BB King, Joe Cocker, Etta James, Sheryl Crow, Barenaked Ladies, Sergio Menendez, Huey Lewis and many others. He has written for Elton John, The O’Jays, The Temptations, Teddy Pendergrass and Rita Marley.
- • Founded by guitarist Troy Chapman, Hot Club of Troy is an acoustic jazz group from Whidbey Island specializing in the Hot Swing/Gypsy Jazz style of the legendary guitarist Django Reinhardt. The group also includes Keith Bowers on guitar, and Kristi O’Donnell on Bass. Also joining the group is local Eric Vanderbilt-Mathews on clarinet/sax/and keyboard. The band has performed at Djangofest NW, Manouche in Bellingham and the Django Sur Lennon Manouche Festival in Ramelton, Ireland in 2017.
- • Muse and eye are the country/folk duo of Sarah Primrose and Russell Clepper who perform a repertoire of mostly Russell’s original compositions. He has been called a “lyricist’s lyricist” and “a thinking man’s songwriter.” The two troubadours have performed around the Puget Sound area, New Mexico, Colorado and Russell’s native Texas. He calls their music flatland folk, buffalo grass and vague country.
