Deception Pass Challenge

It’s one of the most unique and beautiful human-powered racing venues in America – Deception Pass.  It’s so-named because the powerful tides pouring through the pass deceived early explorers.  The water was rushing out to see so quickly they were sure they were looking at a river!

This is your chance to test your skills at Deception Pass.

Can you travel the six miles from Cornet Bay, through Deception Pass, around Strawberry Island and back before the tide shifts and blocks your way back!
