Deception Pass Dash

This is not your ordinary paddling race, the Deception Pass Challenge is an epic rowing and paddling race through the tidal rapids of Deception Pass.   Starting and ending at Bowman Bay, the route then heads around Deception Island, under the Deception Pass Bridge and Pass Island, around Strawberry Island and back through the pass, this time through the smaller Canoe pass.

The course is approximately 6.15 miles.

Race heats start at approximately  9:00 a.m. – 9:15 a.m., 10-20 minutes before slack @ 9:24am.  Start of slack varies per conditions which will be determined on race day.
