Eighteenth-Century Constitution in a Twenty-First Century World
March 10, 2018 @ 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm
Based on the success of last season’s Constitution Lecture Series, WICA introduces this two day lecture series – featuring speaker: Professor Dr. Andrew Siegel.
Choose Friday or Saturday—or both—with Dr. Siegal discussing:
Friday night: Presidential powers and their limits during the first year of the Trump Presidency
Saturday night: The Supreme Court confronts cell phones, computerized gerrymandering, same sex marriage, and modern weapons
“The sold-out houses for the three Constitution lectures last spring are clear evidence of our community’s character, which is enriched by engaged, thoughtful and intellectually curious citizens. The next two lectures will address issues of great importance in this time of political divisiveness and testing of our government institutions. Dr. Siegel’s scholarly, yet accessible lectures are deeply informative for anyone who seeks to deepen their understanding of our nation’s foundational document and to discern how to exert their power as citizens.” – Janice O’Mahony
