An Evening with Nancy Pearl

November 8, 2017 @ 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm

Whidbey Island Center for the Arts (WICA) presents Nancy Pearl on Wednesday, November 8 at 11am and 7:30pm.

Attention bookworms! Famed book commentator Nancy Pearl has expanded her annual visit to Langley to include an evening event. .

First, at 11am, join us for a cozy chat about Nancy’s favorite books of the year. Find the perfect holiday gift or suggestions for yourself. Free! Presented by the Friends of Langley Library and hosted by WICA.

At 7:30pm, Nancy has graciously offered to hold a benefit book reading and signing of her first novel, “George & Lizzie.” Don’t miss this opportunity to hear excerpts from Nancy’s book and anecdotes about her own journey into fiction. All seats are $22 to the evening show. Proceeds benefit the Friends of Langley Library and WICA.

The New York Times calls her “the talk of librarian circles.” Readers can’t get enough of her recommendations while bookstores and libraries offer standing room only whenever she visits. Since the release of the best-selling “Book Lust” in 2003 and the Librarian Action Figure modeled in her likeness, Nancy Pearl has become a rock star among readers and the tastemaker people turn to when deciding what to read next.
