Ways of Whales Webinar

January 15 @ 10:00 am - 4:00 pm

Orca Network’s annual Ways of Whales Workshop is a wonderful opportunity to learn more about the whales who live in the Salish Sea! The webinar will be a virtual Zoom event this year, held Saturday, January 15, 2022, from 10:00 am until 4:00 pm, and will feature presentations by the region’s top ecosystem experts and advocates.

Confirmed presenters include Dr. Stephanie Norman speaking on Beluga Whales, Scott Viers on the OrcaSound project and the Whale Alert App, and Orca Network’s own Alisa Lemire Brooks and Susan Berta discussing Citizen Science and the Whale Sighting Network.

Musical guest Dana Lyons will also be performing his new release, “Love Song to Jane,” along with a song from J2 Granny’s point of view,“The Great Salish Sea.”

Cost of the workshop is $35 ($25 for Students/Seniors), and a limited number of scholarships or partial scholarships are available. Please contact Cindy Hansen at [email protected]. Visit www.orcanetwork.org for more information and to register.

Orca Network is a 20 year old organization dedicated to raising to raising awareness of the whales of the Pacific Northwest, and the importance of providing them healthy and safe habitats. Our citizen science Whale Sighting Network gathers reports from people living throughout Puget Sound.
