DESCRIPTION:Whidbey Art Gallery: Art Walk | Saturday November 7th from 5:00 – 7:00pm\n\n\n\nThis month art walk is Saturday\, November 7 from 5-7. Meet our artists and explore the stories behind their work while enjoying a glass of wine and some chocolates. \n\n\n\n2D artist “Ineke de Lange”\n\n\n\nIneke de Lange’s latest project is photographing flowers frozen in ice. The process involves gathering and arranging flowers and other botanical subjects (mostly from her garden) in containers of water and freezing them into blocks of ice. Once frozen\, she removes the block of ice and photographs the flowers with a macro lens under natural light. As the light changes\, she photographs different views of the flowers inside capturing the differences that occur as frost forms and the ice melts. The combined effects and the variations in light are what make this process so intriguing and unpredictable. The ethereal and painterly images are the result. \n\n\n\nNo digital manipulation is done except for minor adjustments. Images are printed using archival inks and paper. \n\n\n\n3D artist “Leslee Koritzke”\n\n\n\nLeslee Koritzke has been creating with clay for over twenty years. Inspired by the Pacific Northwest\, her wheel-thrown ceramics blend function\, form\, and daily ritual. Natural\, inviting surfaces and subtle variations give each piece its own character. Whether used every day or displayed in a favorite space\, her work brings warmth and calm to everyday life—or is deeply missed when it’s in the dishwasher. \n\n\n\nMember Show for November “Seascapes”Whidbey Art Gallery presents “Seascapes\,” a special members’ exhibition inspired by the beauty and ever-changing moods of the sea. Featuring original works by many of the gallery’s talented artists\, this exhibition captures the magic of our coastal surroundings—from peaceful shorelines to dramatic ocean vistas and everything in between.  \n\n\n\nOpen daily 11:00am-4:00pm
