The Haller House, built by Colonel Granville Haller, is one of 19 “Grand Dames” remaining in Central Whidbey, homes built when Americans expanded westward into the Oregon Territory. These homes possibly represent the greatest concentration of 19th-century homes in the western U.S. This one is unique because the home was only lightly introduced to modern features such as indoor plumbing and electricity.
The house was purchased by Historic Whidbey and is currently undergoing restoration. Neither the house nor the grounds are yet open to the public.
