The Island County Museum has displays on Native American life, early settlers, as well as more “modern” early 20th-century life when Whidbey Island was a step or two behind the mainland. An entire floor is devoted to the Native Americans who first settled on the island. More modern relics include an early 20th-century doctor’s office, the island’s first telephone switchboard, and the island’s first car. Admission by donation.
