A wide trail into the woods with a small wooden sign reading "Dugualla State Park."
Looking into the trees at Dugualla State Park

Here’s a tree-lined tour to a Whidbey Island state park that is missed by most people visiting the island. North of Oak Harbor, turn east on Sleeper Road. For 2.5 miles, you’ll drive through forests and past farmland until you reach Dugualla State Park.

There’s an extensive trail system in the park and you can hike down the bluff to a narrow beach with great views of Goat Island, Ika Island, and the mainland.
