Discover the charm of Camano Island’s local farms and attractions, each offering unique experiences that celebrate tradition, innovation, and sustainability at the Camano Homestead Fair.
Throughout the day, enjoy a lively blend of Bluegrass, Folk, and Americana by the South End String Band.
Schedule:
- 10:00am | Camano Creamery: meet an adorable calf and learn the art of butter making.
- 10:30am | Cats Paw Bees: explore the world of honeybees and garden pollinators, get practical advice on starting your own hive and creating a pollinator-friendly garden.
- 11:00am | Island Harvest Farm: building soil health to support healthy plants.
- 11:30am | Farm Ashram: simple methods for preserving plant intelligence and life force, some favorite plants to work with, and how they’re grown.
- 12:00pm | Songbird Soap: teaches the art of crafting beautiful homemade soaps.
- 10:00am-2:00pm | Hidden Creek Draft Horses: these gentle giants will be in the field across from the Marketplace. Learn about their historic and modern roles in agriculture, logging, and more.
Additional sessions hosted by WSU Extension:
