Event Series Event Series (See All)

Earth Day is a day filled with understanding and hope and there’s no better place than Cama Beach State Park.

The day is filled with these great events:

  • Guided Hike to Cranberry Lake: 9:30 am – 11 am. Meet at the Cama Beach Drop-Off Shelter. Join our interpretive specialist on a fun and informative walk to Cranberry Lake.
  • Low Tide Beach Walk: 11:30 am – 1:30 pm. Meet near the break in the sea wall on the south end of Cama Beach. Join our volunteers to learn about the critters who live in the Salish Sea.
  • Earth Day Beach Cleanup: 2 pm – 4 pm. Join us in helping to keep Cama Beach beautiful and litter free! Meet near the break in the sea wall on the south end of Cama Beach.
  • Solar Wind: 8-10 pm. Come and participate in a distinctive and imaginative evening event showcasing our solar system, hosted at the Cama Center. The utilization of planetarium software will allow for enormous three-dimensional renderings of planets in slow rotation, complemented by abstract visuals and a dynamic live soundscape. The composer and visual artist, Rob Angus, will craft an ambient acoustic sound field that encircles the audience as astronomer Eric Muhs provides narration and details about the solar system imagery.
