Mozart’s Sonatas and Songs — Presented by Whidbey Island Music Festival
Whether you are celebrating a decades-long partnership, a budding new romance, the cherished bond of a lifelong friendship or flying solo, this concert is designed to be a Valentine’s Day experience to remember.
To capture the warmth and heartbeat of Mozart’s music, pianist Tamara Friedman performs on the fortepiano—the forerunner of the modern piano. Its delicate, silvery tone creates a perfect conversation with Tekla Cunningham’s classical violin and Addy Sterrett’s luminous soprano. This authentic setup allows you to hear Mozart sonatas and songs as intended with clarity, warmth and color.
