New Years Walk at Meerkerk Gardens

As you walk with Naturalist Steve Layman, the sounds of the forest come alive. Birds chirp melodiously overhead, while the rustle of small creatures scurrying through the underbrush adds a layer of excitement to the atmosphere. The trail winds through patches of vibrant wildflowers, their colors contrasting beautifully with the deep greens of the leaves. Alongside, ferns and moss carpet the ground, creating a soft, lush foundation that cushions your footsteps.
Walks start at 1 PM at the Gatehouse and last approximately 1.5 hours.
Dress for the weather in warm layers, water resistant shoes, hats and gloves. Walks may be cancelled due to high winds.Â
Walks are free for Friends of Meerkerk Members (and children under 13); cost is $15 per person for non-members.
