Whidbey Island’s professional Saratoga Orchestra presents the 2026 Pacific Northwest Conducting Institute Festival Concert, a unique musical event that brings together talented conductors from around the world.
Since 2017, emerging and established conductors have traveled to Whidbey Island to participate in this immersive program, refining their craft while working alongside professional musicians in a collaborative and inspiring environment. The 2026 Festival Concert showcases the artistry of these conductors through a diverse program featuring works by Ludwig van Beethoven, Felix Mendelssohn, Ethel Smyth, and Gabriela Lena Frank. Audiences will enjoy an evening of exceptional orchestral music while witnessing the skill, passion, and creativity of tomorrow’s conducting leaders.
