Prairie Days – Pacific Rim Institute | May 1st & 2nd | FREE

Prairie Days is a free, educational day where we invite the public to visit PRI. The western prairie is among the most endangered habitat in Washington State, and the largest prairie in the North Sound is found right here in the center of Whidbey Island. 
Learn about this endangered habitat, view native wildflowers in bloom, and even purchase plants for your own garden.

Native Plants Sale | Friday & Saturday 10:00am – 4:00pm

Free Guided Tours | Saturday
 7:30am (Birds)
, 11: 00am, 2:00pm, and 4:00pm

Educational Talks:
Saturday
 10:00am: Botany for Young Sprouts and the rest of your family tree

Saturday 12:00pm: Weeds or Medicinal Plants? Hidden treasures with health benefits
Saturday 2:00pm: Lawn to Habitat: Step-by-step transition from lawn to inviting habitat for conservation

Citizen Science Mini bio-blitz:
Saturday 1:00 – 4:00pm 30 minutes intervals: Mini bio-blitz “Using iNaturalist to identify plants, insects and more.”
