This month we are featuring in the gallery: Peggy Woods and Don Wodjenski – June 4 – 30
Watercolorist Peggy Woods captures our love affair with water as no other painter in Home Waters, an exhibition that focusses on the play of light on water, whether glowing with contrast, or misty and moody. Her quiet observation invite the viewer to celebrate the tranquil dramas that convey the poignancy of everyday coastal life captured in sixteen original paintings. For more information click HERE
Don Wodjenski’s Form & Reveal showcases his skill as a woodturner who uses a variety of local and ethically sourced exotic woods to create bowls, platters and vases. He often incorporates inlays of turquoise, malachite, lapis or gold, in a manner akin to the Japanese kintsugi tradition of fixing flaws and cracks in ceramics, and the shou sugi ban tradition of charring and burning piercings to add decorative elements.
