Join us for a Whidbey Island sailing experience on Penn Cove!
Sit back as the sails are hoisted, the engine turned off, and we cruise across the water while enjoying the scenic views of Penn Cove, Mount Baker and the Cascade Range. This is a gentle sailing experience perfect for the whole family. We sail where the wind is the best, perhaps past Snakelum Point where the Lower Skagit Tribes lived to the east, or the Penn Cove mussel farms to the west.
We depart the picturesque Coupeville wharf every Friday, Saturday and Sunday on our historic 1925 wooden pilot house schooner.
2026 Sailing Schedule (June – October 17, 2026)
Fridays:Â About 5:30 p.m., varies depending on sunset
Saturdays: 1:00 – 3:00 p.m.
Sundays: 1:00 – 3:00 p.m.
All scheduled sailings are approximately 2 hours, and depart from the Coupeville Wharf at 24 Front St NW. Please arrive at the boat 15 minutes prior to departure.
Tickets
(Prior purchase speeds Suva’s departure process)
Adult (per person): $75
Youth (3-12): $50
Child (0-2): $0.10.
Tickets can be purchased at https://www.schoonersuva.org/tickets, or at the boat prior to sailing.
Children Under 18 Years Old Must Be Accompanied by an Adult.
It is always a few degrees cooler when on the water. We suggest you bring along a sweatshirt and/or light jacket. You may bring snacks or drinks to enjoy.
