Veteran’s Day Program – Coupeville

A Veterans Day remembrance ceremony will be held on the Veterans Plaza at the Island County courthouse located at Northeast Sixth Street in Coupeville. The ceremony will feature the presentation of flags of each branch of military service and the POW-MIA flag. Coupeville Mayor Molly Hughes will give a history of each branch of service and the Shifty Sailors will sing the anthem of each branch. Before the ceremony at 10 a.m., members of the Central Whidbey Lions Club will be handing out small flags with tags to have veterans and their family members place at the plaza. There is no cost for the flags and they will be left on display through the weekend.
