Ways of Whales Workshop | January 24th, 2026
Join us for our annual Ways of Whales workshop in Coupeville (Coupeville High School Performing Arts Center 501 S. Main Street, Coupeville)!
Confirmed speakers and topics include:
- Susan Berta and Howard Garrett, Orca Network – Toki’s Legacy, Orca Network updates
- Rachel Haight, Serena Tierra and Nikol Damato, Orca Network – Whale Sighting Network
- Cindy Elliser – Harbor Porpoise
- Ted Cheeseman, Happy Whale – Humpback Whales, Bellweathers of Change
- Erin Gless, Pacific Whale Watch Association – Humpback Whales of the Salish Sea
- Salmon Success Stories – a series of short presentations followed by a panel discussion. Speakers and topics include Whitney Neugebauer from Whale Scout on the Former Wayne Golf Course, George Pess on the Elwha dams, and Stephanie Raymond on the Duwamish Waterway

Lunch
Lunch is a taco bar from Rocket Taco, with choices of fillings and toppings. The meat filling is ancho chicken and vegetarian/vegan options are cauliflower chickpea and sweet potato black bean. Gluten free available upon request.
Silent Auction
Our traditional Ways of Whales Silent Auction will take place online so virtual attendees can participate as well. Please check the auction tab soon to see available items ahead of time, and register to bid. The items will also be available to view in person during the workshop. The auction will open the morning of January 24th and close at the end of the afternoon break at Ways of Whales.
Auction Item Pickup and Shipping – Items will be available on Saturday January 24th at close of workshop. They will be either virtually deliverable, available for pickup at the workshop, shipped, or coordinated with the donor. If you need to make other arrangements, please contact jaelyn@orcanetwork.
For our friends farther away, upon winning, please verify your shipping address and full name so you can receive your items. Shipping costs will be invoiced via email and charged separately.
