Whidbey Forest Friends: Family Classes

Whidbey Forest Friends Families classes on Saturdays run from September 6 through October 25, 2025, 10:00am – 12:30pm, and are for children ages 18 months to 5 years old
Welcome to Whidbey Forest Friends where children’s curiosity, wonder and play is encouraged through outdoor adventures, creative art classes, and a supportive child-led learning environment that fosters growth and imagination. Each Saturday our preschool-based Caregiver/Child Families program for ages 18 months to 5 years old features a new park or destination to explore on our beautiful Island.
Family class! Bring the family! Babies in arms ok. Get ready for a weekly Saturday Fall family adventure! Come enjoy and explore the breathtaking Pacific Northwest, right here on Whidbey Island, as the seasons transform right before us. Choose one Saturday! or all 8 Saturdays!
Whidbey Forest Friends offers a unique preschool-based parent-caregiver/child class where each week we explore a different park or destination on our beautiful Whidbey Island. This engaging class starts with a nature inspired art project, circle time with games and songs, then a walk or hike ending with a cozy story and snack time together. Join us for 8 weeks of fun, with 3 classes featuring special guests at local destinations.
An itinerary will be sent out each week before the next class (for safety reasons it will not be posted publicly -only sent to signed up class members.)
The locations will be primarily around Clinton, Langley, Freeland, Greenbank, and Coupeville. On occasion could be farther North or special requested locations based on specialists. Experience the magic of learning and play in the great outdoors with Whidbey Forest Friends!
