There are gardens, and then there are those better described as living outdoor art galleries. Each year a few of these extraordinary galleries are opened to the public for just one day. Privately owned, these gardens exhibit fine craftsmanship, attention to detail, and a whole lot of hard work. Your opportunity to explore these gardens is both a chance to drink in the atmosphere of these extraordinary places and be inspired to bring such care to your own yard. The gardens are as different as their owners, but all share the common thread of creating an amazing sense of place.
