Lodging Category: Houses & Suites
The cabins at Camano Island’s Cama Beach State Park date to the time of a family fishing resort that opened in the 1930’s and is one of the unique lodging opportunities in the entire state park system. The cabins are right on the beach facing Saratoga Passage on the west side of the island. The pace is that of a bygone era, but there’s plenty to do with the Center for Wooden Boats, interpretive programs and lots of events. The center rents boats and some of the best crabbing is in the water along the park. There are lots of hiking trails and a car-free zone around the cabins make the area kid-friendly.
