Totally Beachin’ getaway is a delightful and quaint beach retreat with two Bedroom spaces and 1 ½ baths located on the Puget Sound in Admiral Cove, Coupeville. This adorable two-story home features approx. 1300 square feet and sleeps 6 comfortably in one queen bed upstairs, one queen pullout couch upstairs and a queen bunk downstairs with a twin over top (downstairs bunk area is open to the family room). Located on a unique wraparound jetty, the home opens up to a private lake in the back with the front yard just across the street from the ocean and steps away from a shared private waterfront beach with playgrounds, beach fires and a community exclusive pool located right on the sound (pool open summer months only). (LAKE NOT SWIMMABLE-BUT BRING YOUR PADDLE BOAT)
This home features tons of character and charm as you walk into the rustic but modern interior with brick, wood beam ceiling, spiral staircase and windows galore to view water from all vantage points. The deck has a barbeque with tons of seating and the back yard has a large firepit for enjoying roasting hotdogs while watching bald eagles soar, geese, heron, ducks, otters and fish jumping. You may even have the pleasure of watching the deer wander through the yard. The home features all the necessary amenities to cook and do laundry as well as a SMART TV and Alexa for music or news and weather reports. A great place for all ages, come play, fish, swim or just enjoy the tranquility of the sounds of the ocean waves while sitting around a campfire cooking smores.
If you want to go explore historic downtown Coupeville it’s just 10 minutes away. Get some ice cream, eat some mussels, check out the landmark pub, and a museum of Whidbey Island history. Head another 10 miles north of Coupeville and visit the town of Oak Harbor where you’ll find many stores and restaurants, a roller-skating rink, and even a drive-in movie theater with arcade and go-cart racing! Want to stay close – just a couple of miles away you can explore Fort Casey, with a lot of military history emplacements, places to fly kites, or hike. Just a 30-minute ferry ride away you can visit Port Townsend – just walk onto the Keystone ferry to experience another historic and charming town. Spend the day walking down main street and enjoy the many shops, restaurants and attractions.
If it is the outdoors you want, there are plenty of places to trek or bicycle, fish, or whale watch back on Whidbey Island. Enjoy hiking at Admiralty Head Lighthouse, Ebey’s Landing Trail, or Loop Trail. Go fishing in one of Whidbey islands numerous lakes or beaches or just relax in this beautiful home where there are countless places to walk, bike, hike, swim, scuba, read a book, and enjoy the peace and serenity of the water. Dogs allowed on case by case basis. Small dogs (20lbs or less) only allowed downstairs and on the deck.
