Loop: Oak Harbor to West Beach and Back

One hardly needs help when choosing a side road to travel on North Whidbey. If approaching from the south, the road names themselves will inform you of their beauty, as they split away from the main highway as Scenic Heights Road or turn into miles and miles of Beach Road. These paths hug the land from each direction and encircle a vast area of farmland, parks, and small business treasures.

This North Whidbey scenic drive is from Oak Harbor through farm country to the beach and back. When you get to West Beach Road, look for beach-side pullouts where you can stop, enjoy the view, and walk the beach.

Across the street from the pullout at the south end of the beach homes is the Beach View Farm Trail, an easy one-mile-lone path through farmland.

Also on this loop is Joseph Whidbey State Park, which does require a Discover Pass.
