Saratoga Orchestra – Requiem

Saratoga Orchestra of Whidbey Island will join forces with Whidbey Community Chorus and Oak Harbor High School choirs to present a set of programs. Music Director, Dr. Anna Edwards, leads the orchestra and massed choir in a program featuring Gabriel Faure’s Requiem, Battle Hymn of the Republic, and Christopher Tin's Baba Yetu. The choirs are under the leadership of Darren McCoy.

Saratoga Orchestra: American Classics & Jazz

Saratoga Orchestra of Whidbey Island presents American Classics & Jazz, a set of programs on March 10, 7pm at South Whidbey High School and March 11, 2:30pm at Oak Harbor High School. Music Director, Anna Edwards, leads the orchestra in a program highlighting some of America’s favorite composers of the 20th century. From Tin Pan Alley to Birdland to Carnegie Hall, composers Leonard Bernstein, Aaron Copland, George Gershwin, Irving Berlin, and Duke Ellington will be celebrated for their contribution to our popular musical culture.

The Pacific Northwest Conducting Institute 2017 Fellows lead the Saratoga orchestra in a program to include Dvorak's Symphony No. 9 "From the New World", Wittry's own composition entitled, "Mist", and Tchaikovsky's Symphony No. 5.
