Things to Do

Challenge yourself or treat yourself with all the things to do on Whidbey and Camano Islands.  Outdoors enthusiasts have many parks and trails to choose from along with kayaking, boating, and cycling.  Foodies will find many fine-dining experiences as well as casual dining for that easy-going family weekend.  Art-lovers will find plenty of galleries and studios to tour and, of course, our small towns have many shops to explore.

    Rhododendron Park

    Rhododendron Park is a 32-acre county-owned park with three groomed ball fields, a covered picnic area, and bathrooms. There’s also an extensive trail system for hikers. The park also features 15 campsites ($15 a day). Three can fit RVs, but there’s only water, no electricity or dump. Closed each off-season from October 1st through March 31st.

    Roller Barn

    Once the largest barn on the West Coast, the Neil Barn was built in 1912.  In 1950, it was refitted as a roller rink.

    Sail the Schooner Suva

    Step back through time and sail Penn Cove on a historical 68-foot schooner built in 1925. Sailings are from the Coupeville Wharf. They begin in mid-May and run thorough early October.
