Practically Magic Halloweekend

Did you know Coupeville was the film location for the classic movie, “Practical Magic” starring Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman?  Celebrate this along with Halloween for Practically Magic Halloweekend.  There are lots of fun events lined up, including:

• Practically Magic Movie Night Friday, October 27 | 6:30 pm (21+) $5.00
  Gathering all enchantresses to the Coupeville Rec Hall for an Enchantingly Magical Night! Join us for margaritas, music, support local vendors, and much more. Doors swing open at 6:30 PM, kick off our costume contest at 7, test your knowledge with trivia at 7:30, and let the movie enchant you at 8. Please bring your ID for admission, and remember to dress up in your favorite costumes.

• Spells & Brews Bike Ride, Saturday, October 28 | 10:00 am
  The ride starts with registration at 10 AM in the Coupeville Middle School parking lot. The ride costs $10, which covers delightful treats and grants individuals aged 21 and over a token to savor a beverage in the Spells and Brews Garden. This event is brought to you by the Whidbey Island Bicycle Club.
• Clues & Capes Scavenger Hunt, Saturday, October 28 | 11:00 am – 3:00 pm – $14.00
  Embrace the enchantment of Coupeville with our exciting scavenger hunt! Begin your journey at Mariner’s Court, where you can collect your witch’s hat or cape, and then follow the clues to create your magical ensemble.
• Spells & Brews Beer Garden, Saturday, October 28 | 11:00 am – 4:00 pm
  9th & N Main – Leave your broomstick behind and savor a beverage in our enchanting Spells & Brews Beer Garden! Cozy up by the fire pit to ward off the autumn chill, indulge in snacks, or peer into your destiny with our tarot reader. Remember to bring your ID for entry, and please ensure that all alcoholic beverages remain within the designated area.
• Torchlight Parade & Street Dance, Saturday, October 28 | 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm
  Free and Family-Friendly.  Dress in costume and join in this annual evening of fun.
• The Great Pumpkin Race, Sunday, October 29 | 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm
  Racing pumpkins is a Coupeville tradition this year in a new location, Coveland & Broadway.  Join in the family-friendly fun!
