Whidbey and Camano Islands are home to some amazing views and scenery. Filming on Whidbey and Camano islands is a creative and rewarding experience. With natural scenery, old-growth forests, beaches and hundred-year-old buildings, the two islands offer a rich selection of locations. Whidbey Island is accessible by a short, scenic ferry ride from the south end, or iconic Deception Pass Bridge from the north. Here you will find a huge diversity of locations, from quaint seaside villages to a world class Navy base, winding country roads and sweeping beach vistas. There are three incorporated towns on Whidbey, each with their own film permit. There are also several unincorporated communities, which are included in the county permit. Here you will also find information on how to film at public properties that don’t fall under either of these jurisdictions, such as State Parks, ferries, and ports. Please consult the interactive map to find the appropriate permit or contact for the area you are interested in, or contact the film liaison if you are unsure.

    Whidbey Island Fairgrounds & Events Center

    Built in the mid 1930s, this fairground has an old-time, country feel. Several barns, exhibition buildings, arenas, food stalls, performance spaces, and a campground are the main features.

    South Whidbey Community Center

    The building is formerly the Langley Middle School. The brick building dates back to the 1920's or 30's and was the area's only school for many years.
