Whidbey Island is home to eight gorgeous State Parks in total. Among other things they offer a lighthouse, two old military forts, wide open spaces for hang-gliding and deeply forested trails for hikes, trail bikes and horseback riding. Many have remarkable water and sunset views from the west side of the island.
These other parks are Fort Casey, Fort Ebey, South Whidbey, Joseph Whidbey, Ebey’s Landing, Possession Point, and Keystone Spit.
For filming requests, park staff must consider potential negative impacts on visitors or resources before approving a site. Use of drones must be approved at the assistant director level, so this will take longer for a permit approval. Begin filling in the state park film permit application here, but also contact the film liaison to connect with the correct park ranger or manager. This will ensure the most timely and efficient permitting process.
