24 Trails on Whidbey and Camano Islands

This 12 acre county park features a 1 mile long easy trail with dramatic views of the small islands in the northern part of Skagit Bay. 

Barnum Point is Camano Island's newest park. It features a pristine beach, trails through the woods and wetlands and a beautiful bluff view.

This 1.5-mile-long trail takes you from farmland, past wetland, and finally to the beach. There's parking at either end of the trail!

Camano Ridge offers a number of dog-friendly forest (on leashes) trails in its 400 acres of forest.

The walk to Cranberry Lake is an easy flat stroll through the woods to a small lake. The 1.1 mile round-trip is dog and kid friendly.

This 50-acre preserve is a wildlife habitat with forest, wetland, and pasture. There is a 1.2 mile trail with a forest and a meadow loop.

The Dorothy Cleveland trail is a serious hike, rising 392 feet in less than three-quarters of a mile.

This state park property (although not an officially-listed state park) offers a complex of hiking trails including a 3-mile (round trip) hike to the beach.

Elger Bay Preserve is an easy day hike that’s great with or without the kids. There are multiple trails a marsh with a viewing platform.
